Does going to summer programs at prodigious universities look really great on college transcripts?

i'm a high schooler and i want to apply to some summer programs at cornell and some other universities. do they help you get into that college? does it look really great on your transcript?

i'm in the top ten percent of my class and i take rigorous AP/IB classes.Does going to summer programs at prodigious universities look really great on college transcripts?
First, ALWAYS check your spelling!!!!! To answer your question- yes it can look and be very good for your future education, etc. especially if you go for programs that are in your field of interest and you have to do something competative to get into that summer program. Good Luck!!!!!!!!! (Everyone makes mistakes typing-but be really careful that you don't when appying to different programs. That will stand out more then your grades etc.Does going to summer programs at prodigious universities look really great on college transcripts?
yesss duh! colleges would be happy to see that you did something productive during the summers!!!! as for the spelling error, be extra careful on college and job apps.... they get very picky over that stuff. my uncle is college admissions counselor.... he told me all of this ridiculous spelling errors that students did. like some people plan on majoring in Psychology but they cant even spell it correctly!!!
It'll add to your list of extracurriculars and such, however remember that the main things they look at will be GPA, SAT/ACT scores, essay, letters of rec, and a short glance at your extracurriculars. Don't be a resume builder - do the summer program because it genuinely interests you and because you intend to get something more than the approval of a college out of it - otherwise, you could do a lot more with your summer (as long as it keeps you interested) which would look better to colleges (such as volunteering abroad, internships, or even maintaining a regular job).
