Apparently you simply don't understand today's American SS. You see, the individuals involved are liberals, and are therefore immune from any investigation, doubt, or possible wrongdoing. Period. End of story. If, however, even the most remote inklings of any such malfeasance had been allegedly perpetrated by ANY conservative individual, the immediate and utter castigation, impugnment and call for resignation would have been trumpeted by each and every one of the officials and their witless ';journalists'; who fawn and drool after their every command.
