You need to be more specific. What division of court is it (e.g. criminal, chancery, etc.) and has the hearing already occurred?

Not all divisions of court have a court reporter, in which case it is necessary to hire your own if you want a transcript from a hearing. Most court rooms will have a sign posted outside specifying whether there is a court reporter or if you must hire one.

Criminal courts usually have their own court reporter and you would just need to pay for the costs for obtaining a copy. There's no way around this. It's expensive, regardless.Does any body no how to get court transcripts with out the high cost.?
If someone else has already ordered a transcript you may be able to borrow %26amp; photocopy theirs.
If there are transcripts, and you want copies, you will need to pay for them. I once needed to do this and thought the court was the one to obtain them from. I was mistaken and advised the court recorder ';owned'; them and I had to pay her for copies. $10 per page.
