Where can i get home-school transcripts made official? Where can I get diploma? etc.?

I live in the portland area. I plan on making some transcripts as soon as I can find some. Does anyone know of some agencies where I can get transcripts and find out about all that stuff? thanks

If you really need them, they're not that difficult to make. There's no reason to hire some agency to do it for you. A transcript contains basic information about your courses, such as their names, some information on their content, your final course grade, and the dates you took the course. You can probably do all of that for yourself. You community college will already have a record of the work you did there, so if you need a transcript from them all you have to do is find the appropriate office and ask for one. There's usually a small form to fill out and there may be a fee, but you would have to check with your own school about that.Where can i get home-school transcripts made official? You/your parent can create your transcript and diploma. So long as you have been following the legal requirements for homeschooling in your state, then it is all official.

If you need/want assistance, contact your homeschool support group. They can guide you through the process, either in person or by referring you to resources that will help.
Many people just type them themselves. Typing the words ';official transcript'; at the top is one way to make it official. Taking it to a notary public and having your parents sign it with the notary public's official stamp accompanying the signature is another way.

There are a lot of great books and websites out there that will help you navigate through these things. One that I've found and love is called ';And What About College? How Homeschooling leads to admissions to the best colleges and universities';.

I'm not sure, but I believe Homeschool Tracker has a program you can purchase for very little, where you can make your own transcripts. We use the free version for tracking assignments, reading log, etc... and its wonderful! Go to www.homeschooltracker.com and see what they have available.
