You need to contact your high school. Colleges do not have a signed permission to release your transcripts from high school. Will my college send my high school and college transcripts together or do I have to call my old school?
You have to contact your high school and college separately to get the transcripts.
Your college transcript, however, should have some or all of the following information about your high school career:
- School you graduated from
- Date of graduation
- Cumulative GPA
- Class ranking
- Type of diploma (if applicable)
Generally, though, if you need proof that you graduated from high school (say, for an employer), you may or may not need to contact your high school for a copy of your transcript. Some employers will accept a college transcript as proof that you graduated from high school; others won't. If you need this for a job application, check with the employer about what documentation they require. Will my college send my high school and college transcripts together or do I have to call my old school?
